BUSINESS FUNDING, EXPLAINED
Cash Shortfall & Payroll Planner
Estimate your next four weekly cash balances and see when payroll or bills may create a shortfall. Free, private calculation with no signup.
Your next four weeks
No signup required. Calculator inputs stay in this page and are not submitted or saved. Standard site traffic measurement is separate. Refreshing clears your entries.
Enter 0 where none is expected. Include existing debt payments in other bills; do not count payroll twice.
Projected cash position
Complete every field with a nonnegative number to see your estimate.
Will there be enough cash for payroll?
Start with available cash, then enter expected receipts and cash payments for each week. Use the date money is expected to clear, not the date an invoice was issued. Weekly balances carry forward automatically.
How this estimate works
Closing balance = opening cash + receipts − payroll − other bills. The largest negative week-end balance is the estimated gap. The tool does not assume a new loan, interest, a minimum reserve or additional fees.
Illustrative example
The Load example button uses invented planning figures: $10,000 opening cash and four weeks of receipts and expenses. It produces balances of $3,000, −$2,000, $4,000 and $4,000. A $2,000 gap first appears in week two. These are not customer results.
Review collection timing, bill due dates and your cash reserve before deciding whether financing is useful. See our payroll cash-flow guide or test a proposed funding payment.
